From the beginning. 

10 years ago to be exact. It's hard to believe how quickly time has flown, and it's even harder to believe it nearly took Ian the full 10 years to finally pop the question.

10 years ago, we were high school sweethearts. A very unlikely match, but opposites attract. After complaining to Ian that I was looking for a nice guy friend, who wouldn't try anything, he agreed men are the worst and would fit the role of "best guy friend and nothing more." The second time we hung-out, he leaned in for a kiss.

Although it may not have been what I was looking for, I did get a best-friend out of it. We have remained best-friends and partners in life. We have grown together in ways we never imagined, experienced the things we dreamed of. In a way 10 years feels like a lifetime, but that first kiss also feels like yesterday. 

 

Fun fact: September 1, 2022 was the day we got engaged. It seemed fitting to celebrate our one year by doing the damn thing, with our family and friends by our side! We can't wait for you to join us. ❣️​
